Scholarships to Texas A&M University made it possible for Aleida Rios ’91 to become the first in her family to attend college, an experience that set the tone for her life. “Texas A&M opened many doors, and I’m grateful for all the places my Aggie Ring has taken me,” Aleida said. Years later, she and her husband, Eduardo “Ed,” are ensuring those same doors remain open for others.

With guidance from their estate planning attorney and the Foundation’s team, they included a bequest in their will to fund additional FEAs. “It was a smooth process, and we appreciate its flexibility, allowing us to adjust our plans as life changes,” Ed shared. “This ensures that our support will endure and will hopefully inspire not only our children but also our grandchildren to give back in their own ways,” Aleida added.
