The Pylants planned their most recent gift with a testamentary charitable remainder trust in their will. After their lives, the trust will make monthly payments to their children, and — upon their passing — the remainder will support scholarships for their family’s favorite campus areas: engineering and the Corps. “When we discovered we could care for our children and give to Texas A&M without the gift being taxed, we knew it was the right choice,” Tim said.
“Texas A&M brought us together and helped Tim succeed in his career,” Susan added. “If we can help students through scholarships, encouragement or just showing up, then that’s absolutely what we’ll do.”
